How to use

Three ways to use lemongrass oil

Around the house: mix a few drops with water in a small bowl and keep it by your window to repel mosquitoes, or add a few drops to your cleaning solution. Reapply every few days.

1

Aroma and wellness

Add 3 to 6 drops to a diffuser for fragrance and its antimicrobial properties. A few drops on a wet cotton ball by your bed, or on the back of your pillow. Mix with boiling water and inhale the steam for headaches.

2

Hair and scalp

Mix 3 to 5 drops with olive or coconut oil, apply to the scalp, leave for at least 10 minutes, then wash as normal. Or add a few drops to your shampoo and massage in. Helps control dandruff.

3

Baths, skin and massage

Mix a few drops with coconut, almond or another carrier oil for the bath, for skin toning, or in a massage oil to ease muscle pain.

Who made this

Distilled the same day by the women of Khatamla

Harvest goes straight from the field to the cluster's steam-distillation unit, donated by Seva Mandir. The women distill and bottle it the same day. The cluster charges farmers a fee for the processing; farmers keep 100% of the proceeds from the sale.

Planting material, farmer training and scientific guidance come from CSIR-CIMAP's Aroma Mission. Infrastructure and on-the-ground support come from Seva Mandir.
